Privacy

There are no accounts here, and there is nothing to log into. This page says what is collected, why, and for how long.

What we do not keep

The name you type in English, and the four answers you give, are used to choose the three names in that one request and are not written to any database or log. Close the tab and they are gone. The three names you were shown live in your browser's session storage, on your device, until you close the tab.

What we keep, if you buy

  • — Your email address. Used only to send the download link, and to answer you if you write to us. It is not added to any list and you will not receive marketing from us.
  • — The Korean name you bought and the files made from it, so the download link works.
  • — The payment reference from Paddle, so a payment can be matched to an order and refunded if needed.
  • — The time the first file was downloaded, because the refund policy turns on it.

All of this is deleted 30 days after purchase, when the files themselves are deleted by an automatic rule on the storage bucket. Records we are legally required to retain for tax purposes are held by Paddle, not by us.

Who else is involved

  • — Paddle is the merchant of record. They collect and hold the payment details; we never see your card number. Their privacy policy governs that data.
  • — Cloudflare R2 stores the generated files.
  • — Resend sends the one delivery email.
  • — The written explanation of your name is produced with an API from Anthropic, from meanings held in this site's own dataset. Only the name and its meanings are sent — never your email address or your name in English.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no analytics cookies and runs no advertising trackers. Paddle sets what it needs to process a payment while the checkout is open. Session storage, which holds your three names, is not a cookie and is never sent to the server.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be deleted, or ask for a copy, at any time. Write to dainjjao@naver.com from the address you used. Deleting early means the download link stops working, so download your files first.
